Johns Hopkins University Master’s Degree (Online) Deadline: Oct 15, 2020 (Annual) Study In: USA Course Starts Fall 2020 Short Description: There are two Humanitarian Health Scholarships available to students from countries low- and middle-income students who wish to apply online for the Master of Applied Science (MAS) Program in Humanitarian Health at John Hopkins University.

All enrolled MAS students will also receive the OPAL (Online Applied Learning Programs) Scholarship, which is an amount per credit that will be applied to all required courses throughout the academic program. Value / Inclusions: The Humanitarian Health Scholarship covers US $ 10,000 of tuition, disbursed for the duration of the program. The OPAL Scholarship: All students enrolled in an OPAL MAS or Certificate program will receive this scholarship, in the amount of US $ 460 per credit. This scholarship is designated for tuition costs only and is disbursed incrementally for each credit earned for required courses. Eligibility: Applicants for Humanitarian Health Scholarships must be citizens and residents of low- or middle-income countries (LMIC), as defined by the World Bank. Applicants temporarily residing in high-income countries may also be considered, but will need to contact the University for additional information.

Only those who can speak, read and understand English fluently and actively participate in an accelerated academic English-only program; are eligible. They must possess at least a bachelor’s degree, with a strong track record of successful academic performance. They must be professionally involved in humanitarian health emergencies / disasters for more than 2 years, and plan to continue working in these contexts after completing the degree. Humanitarian health emergencies / disasters refer to a wide range of settings and situations including conflict, natural disasters, infectious disease outbreaks, and mixed migration in low- and middle-income countries. Prospective applicants from the US and other high-income countries are not eligible for the Humanitarian Health Grant for this program. Application Instructions: Those who wish to be considered for the Scholarships for the MAS program in Humanitarian Health, must apply for admission to the course before October 15, 2020 and complete their application before October 1, 2020. The course begins in the fall of every year.
