Scholarship Value / Inclusions: The scholarship will be worth up to NZD 10,000 and will be applied directly to the recipient’s tuition fees for the chosen program or programs of study, either at the time of the offer or once it is completed your registration. The amount offered will be based on criteria such as, but not limited to, total funding available, qualifications, financial need, number of credits enrolled, number of applicants, and enrollment period. Eligibility: Scholarship applicants must intend to enroll at the University of Waikato (UoW) for the first time in an undergraduate or graduate degree, in any subject, and must have received a Conditional or Unconditional Offer of Place from UoW. Applicants must have a minimum GPA equivalent to B +. Applicants must be citizens of the following countries and be classified as foreign students (see above). They must not be currently enrolled in the University of Waikato (including Certificate of Achievement in Academic English, Certificate of Achievement in Basic Studies, International Diploma of Business or Science, or any other undergraduate program) and must not have fees paid in the time of request. They must have met the University of Waikato English language requirements or have an offer for the University of Waikato Certificate of Achievement in Academic English. They should have received a conditional or unconditional offer of place for a full-time degree program that has a total duration of at least 12 months. They must reside in New Zealand for scholarship tenure and can only study a maximum of 50% of their course online (if this option is available). Those who come to the University of Waikato through a sponsoring body are not eligible, as are those who come to the University of Waikato with a Guaranteed Credit Agreement, or through a study abroad or student exchange agreement. .
