The Study in Canada scholarship program aims to increase opportunities for Canadian post-secondary institutions to host international students from around the world. The academic placement must be done full-time at a Canadian post-secondary institution located in Canada.
The Study in Canada scholarship program is open to students of all academic disciplines, for programs of up to two academic years in length at the post-secondary level leading to a diploma, post-secondary or postgraduate certificate, or master’s degree at a college, technical school or vocational or university in Canada.
To be considered for a scholarship, candidates must first apply for and be admitted to an academic program at a Canadian post-secondary institution. The Canadian post-secondary institution is responsible for applying for the scholarship on behalf of the candidate.
Canadian postsecondary institutions whose applications are successful will receive a contribution agreement for the administration and disbursement of scholarships to recipients.
Financial Support and Benefits of Canada Scholarships 2020/2021
The value of the scholarship varies depending on the duration, level and program of study.
Up to CAN $ 60,000 for an academic year of a minimum of 8 months and a maximum of 12 months
Up to CAN $ 120,000 for two academic years of a maximum duration of 24 months
In addition to the funds allocated to grantees by DFATD, the Canadian host institution may also claim a one-time fee of CAD 500 per awardee to cover administrative costs once the awardee arrives in Canada.
Eligible expenses under the scholarship value:
Visa fees and / or study / work permit and / or travel expenses related to the collection of biometric data
Economy class airfare, only for scholarship recipients, to Canada by the most direct and cheapest route and return airfare at the end of the scholarship. For two-year university programs with an intermediate semester / spring / summer semester in which there is no full-time study or other academic activity required to complete the program, an air ticket back to the classroom An additional economy between Canada and the student’s country / territory.
Tuition and other required fees to earn a full-time campus diploma, postsecondary or graduate certificate or master’s degree
Living expenses, only for the fellow, such as accommodation, utilities and food
Public ground transportation, including a public transportation pass
Books and supplies necessary for the beneficiary’s study or research, excluding computer equipment.
Benefits will vary based on the terms and conditions as well as the duration of the scholarship.
Canada Scholarships 2020/2021 Duration and Deadline
The application period will be open from February 5 to March 31, 2020.
The scholarships are sustainable for at least one academic year (8 months) and up to a maximum of two academic years (24 months in total), which must begin between August 2020 and February 2021.
Eligibility for Canada scholarships 2020/2021
To be considered for a scholarship, candidate students:
They must be citizens of one of the following eligible countries: Azerbaijan, Bhutan, Comoros, Djibouti, Fiji, Kazakhstan, Kiribati, Liberia, Mauritania, Micronesia, Palau, Tonga, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, and Vanuatu. Palestinians from the West Bank, Gaza and East Jerusalem are also eligible.
You must not have Canadian citizenship or permanent residence and you must not have a pending application for permanent residence in Canada;
must apply for and be admitted to a full-time undergraduate program at a Canadian post-secondary institution;
must indicate their interest in being considered for the scholarship program in Canada when applying for admission to a Canadian institution, and
You must have the language skills necessary to undertake studies in the language of instruction at the Canadian post-secondary institution (English or French).
Canadian post-secondary institutions are:
responsible for submitting applications on behalf of eligible applicants; and
Encouraged to promote this scholarship opportunity on your relevant institutional websites (eg Admissions, International Student Office and External Scholarship websites), through faculty and staff, as well as partners. postsecondary institutions in eligible countries / territories.

The Scholarships in Canada program is open to students of all disciplines.
Canadian post-secondary institutions may apply on behalf of an admitted student who meets the eligibility criteria and has expressed interest in the scholarship program in Canada.
Canadian post-secondary institutions:
You must apply on behalf of the candidate (s) by submitting the online application form and uploading all supporting documents before the deadline;
You can submit multiple nominations, but you must rank them according to your strategic priorities; and
You must designate a single person responsible for the coordination and classification of all requests submitted to the institution.
Canadian post-secondary institutions are encouraged to read the instructions carefully before beginning the online application. More information is available on the International Scholarships Canada Assistance Request Tool website.

Canadian post-secondary institutions must:
Complete an online application for each candidate.
Postsecondary institutions that do not have an account must first create an account.
Once the account is created and activated, log in. In the “For Non-Canadians” section, scroll down to the “Scholarships in Canada” option and click APPLY NOW.
Enter the data in the fields marked as mandatory, following the instructions for each field, or copy and paste the data from another source. I feel that:

Once completed, check the data and documents before submitting.
Print the form for your records using the print function in the browser.
Click SUBMIT to electronically submit your form to the Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development (DFATD). A confirmation message and reference number will be automatically generated.
